Terms of Service
Satorty is operated by Wyatt Ticheli, an individual based in Texas, United States. In these terms, "Satorty," "we," "us," and "our" mean that person and the app and website they operate. "You" means you.
By downloading Satorty, creating an account, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use Satorty.
1. Who can use Satorty
You must be at least 13 years old to use Satorty. In some places local law sets a higher minimum age for using services like this one — in those places, that higher age applies to you instead.
If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read these terms and agree to them on your behalf before you use Satorty, and they are responsible for your use of it and for any charges.
Satorty is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
2. What Satorty is — and what it isn't
Satorty helps you capture things you need to do, break them into steps, and keep track of them. Some of that happens with the help of AI, which is described in section 6.
Satorty is not a medical device, a diagnosis, a treatment, or therapy. It is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, therapist, coach, or any other professional. Nothing in the app is medical or clinical advice, and you should not use it in place of care from a qualified professional. If you are making decisions about your health, please talk to someone qualified.
3. Your account
You can start using Satorty without signing in. If you do, your information is stored on your device and in our systems under an anonymous identifier, and it may be lost if you delete the app or lose your device.
You can sign in with Apple or Google to keep your information across devices. When you do, we link what you've already created to that account.
You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. If you think someone else has gained access to it, contact us at support@satorty.com.
4. Free trial, subscriptions, and payment
Satorty offers a 14-day free trial, after which it becomes a paid subscription. Current pricing is $5 per month, or $36 billed once per year. Prices are shown in the app before you start and may change over time — we'll tell you before any change affects you.
A few things to be clear about:
- You provide a payment method when the trial starts. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins automatically and you are charged.
- We will remind you before the trial converts. We'll send you a notification before the trial ends so it isn't a surprise.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
- Payment is handled by the app store, not by us. If you subscribed through Apple, Apple charges you; if through Google, Google does. We never see or store your card details.
- Cancel through the app store you subscribed with. Deleting the Satorty app does not cancel your subscription. On iPhone or iPad, that's in your Apple account subscription settings; on Android, in the Google Play subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled by the app store, under their policies, not ours. We can't issue a refund for a charge we didn't process. If something has gone wrong, email us anyway at support@satorty.com and we'll help where we can.
- If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. We don't pro-rate partial periods.
5. Your calendar
If you choose to connect a calendar, Satorty reads your upcoming events so it can work around what you already have booked, and it can add things you plan in Satorty to your calendar.
Satorty only writes to your calendar when you ask it to. We don't add, edit, or delete anything on your calendar on our own.
You can disconnect your calendar at any time in Settings, which stops both the reading and the writing.
6. AI, and its limits
Satorty uses AI from third-party providers to turn what you type into tasks and steps, and to help with goals. The text you enter — and, for calendar-linked tasks, the event title — is sent to those providers so they can do that. What we send and what we don't is set out in our Privacy Policy.
AI gets things wrong. It may misread what you meant, invent a detail, break something into the wrong steps, or misunderstand a date. Satorty's suggestions are suggestions. Please check anything that matters before relying on it, and don't use Satorty as your only record of something important.
We may change AI providers or models over time to improve quality or reliability.
7. What you put into Satorty
What you write stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your tasks, goals, notes, or anything else you create.
To operate the app, we need your permission to store your content, display it back to you, and send the parts described above to our AI and calendar providers. You give us that permission for those purposes only. We don't sell your content, and we don't use it to train AI models.
You're responsible for what you put in. Please don't use Satorty to store or transmit anything unlawful, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or anything you don't have the right to share.
8. Using Satorty fairly
Please don't:
- Try to break into, disrupt, or overload the app or our systems
- Use automated tools to access the service, or resell access to it
- Reverse engineer the app, except where the law says you may
- Use Satorty to harass, harm, or impersonate anyone
- Deliberately abuse the AI features to run up costs or get around usage limits
Satorty has limits on how much AI processing each account can use in a day. These exist to keep the service running for everyone. If you hit one, the app will tell you and it resets.
If you use Satorty in a way that damages the service or other users, we may suspend or end your access.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep Satorty running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. It may be interrupted for maintenance, or by problems at services we depend on.
We may add, change, or remove features over time. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you're paying for, we'll tell you, and you can cancel.
We may discontinue Satorty entirely. If we do, we'll give you reasonable notice, a way to export your information, and we won't charge you for a period you can't use.
10. Ending things
You can stop at any time. Delete your account in Settings, or just stop using the app. Deleting your account removes your information from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy — remember that cancelling your subscription is a separate step, done through the app store.
We may end or suspend your access if you materially break these terms, if we're required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. Except where you've seriously misused the service, we'll refund any period you've paid for and can't use.
11. Disclaimers
Satorty is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We don't warrant that Satorty will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its AI output will be accurate.
Some places don't allow certain warranties to be excluded, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or missed commitments arising from your use of Satorty.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Satorty is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used Satorty, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use Satorty after a change means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you and we agree to that jurisdiction.
If you're a consumer somewhere with laws that give you rights that can't be overridden by contract, nothing here takes those rights away.
16. The rest
- These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Satorty, along with the Privacy Policy.
- If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce something right away, that doesn't mean we've given up the right to.
- You can't transfer these terms to someone else. We may transfer them if Satorty is acquired, and we'll tell you if that happens.
- Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for Satorty. Apple's own standard licensing terms apply to your use of the iOS app in addition to these.
